I always run searches for my research at Google Scholar. And I always get hits to academic articles. Today I noticed there is a new feature at the search engine website. There is an option to search only ‘legal opinions and journals’. I don’t know how long has the option been there, I just realised it today (pity me…) but anyway… I tested the terms ‘courtroom technology’, ‘ict and court’ and few other terms, and wow! selected articles from journals popped as the result, more academic, more selected, more relevant to my research…

Go ahead and give it a try… Way to go, Google Scholar!

I’m at the initial stage of my PhD journey. I am now collecting materials to read and analyse, and understand the concepts relevant to my research. Hm… Looks like these online databases can be useful at this point. Definitely more databases will be resorted to as the time passes by:

1. Lexis.com
2. LexisNexis@Academic
3. CLJ Legal @ http://www.cljlaw.com
4. Academic Source Premier@Ebscohost
5. Lawnet
6. Springer Link
7. Westlaw International
8. Science Direct
9. Pro Quest
10. Emerald Management Extra
11. SSRN
12. IEEE Explore
13. ACM Digital Library
14. …

Hm… I gues the list is neverending?…
