Teaching

Welcome to my Online Teaching Portfolio where I document my teaching and learning experiences throughout my academic career.

My parents are both retired teachers. Hence, teaching and learning have always been a part of me, it is embedded in my daily life since I was small. After graduating from degree, postgraduate diploma and masters in law from the International Islamic University Malaysia, I practiced law for three years, before deciding to join the academia. I joined the School of Law, College of Law, Government and International Studies (UUM COLGIS), University Utara Malaysia (UUM), Sintok, Kedah in 2007. I was then sponsored by UUM and the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education to pursue my PhD in Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam, Selangor.

Upon completing my PhD, I returned to UUM to serve the university as a senior lecturer since 2017. Today, I have the experience of teaching law students on law subjects, as well as servicing law subjects to non-law students. Having the skills and knowledge as a legal practitioner prior to joining UUM gives me the advantage of sharing my legal experience and knowledge, particularly the insider information on the legal practice to the young future legal practitioners who are learners in my classrooms.

Feel free to browse through the menu above to learn about my teaching and learning philosophy, creativity and innovation, impacts to teaching and learning, assurance of learning and improvements/way forward strategies.
